I Need Help ~ Dining Room Tables By the Hundreds

Most of you know that we are building a new house (good times!) and we have been looking to maybe replace our dining table because it is really just too big for the two of us.  I only use it for blog work and scrapbookking and when we occasionally have company for dinner.

Here is a photo of the dining room in the model home, it is kind a square room and my dining room table is rectangular, so I think it won't really look as good in this room:

I have been looking at these beautiful drop leaf tables, but can't really decide which one I want to choose.

I love this square one with the tall bar-height chairs in the dark cherry wood. (left photo)

Then there is the espresso wood in square with the more traditional style chair. (right photo)

Then, I came across this round table with a gorgeous pedestal base that was really different from anything I have ever owned.....

Oh, man, it's a good thing that I still have time, because there are so many to choose from at Dining Rooms Direct, that I think I am going to have to keep looking. If anyone can help me out, PLEASE feel free to offer suggestions!

{Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for CNS Stores and I was compensated a gift card, however, the opinions expressed are 100% mine, I truly LOVE all the CNS Stores and cannot wait to purchase several things for my new home from the CNS Stores.}

Searching for New Home Furniture

Several of you know that we are in the planning stage of building a house in a wonderful community not far from where we live now, so there are LOTS of things that I have on my mind. You also know that I have back and neck problems, so getting myself ready in the morning {or should I say, early afternoon...} isn't the easiest thing for me. One thing that I have been looking to incorporate in our new home are contemporary bathroom vanities that I can sit at and get ready.

If money and space were no option, I know exactly what I would get, but since money and space are an issue, this is not gonna happen:

So, I'm lucky that the bathrooms in the new house have a dropped space where I can put a stool to sit at:

I'll let you know what I get... Until next time..... Lorie

Great Experience with Kane's Furniture Store

Bill and I have needed to replace our living room furniture for a while now, but with limited finances, we were hoping that with the end of year sales we could find something within our budget. We currently own a large beige microfiber sectional that is such a pain in the butt because it can only go one way in the room, and it stains SO EASILY!! We had the stain protectant put on when we first bought it, plus reapplied it twice since, but it just doesn't seem to help! We have tried to clean it with everything imaginable. Bill even used our huge Bissel carpet cleaner, but nothing could keep it clean.

Well, our first stop ended up being Kane's Furniture, and we spoke to the salesman, Richard, and he completely understood our situation. He showed us some of the new products - one really nice Italian leather double reclining sofa with massage.... mmmmm! But that was $1200.00 just for one piece. OUCH!! Then he took us to the back room where they had showroom and "last of" pieces where you can purchase "as is". He showed us this incredible set of 2 gorgeous chairs and a love seat, plus an ottoman of Italian leather in beautiful chocolate brown for $1300.00. It was perfect for our space, but still a bit over what we had in mind to spend. So, we asked if they could discount it more if we paid cash... after discussing it with his manager, we got the whole package for $1,000.00!!! WooHoo... we were SO excited. Now we just needed someone who could deliver and pick up our old one. We didn't care what they did with the old one, we just wanted it OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! The salesman said they had the name of a man who could deliver the new set for us for an inexpensive cost, so we were going to call him as soon as we got home. But, as we were walking out, another salesman, Hector, said he knew of another man who lived closer to us that could probably deliver the new set for us for less, and would also be able to take the old one for us, too. So, we got a call from Cesare, who lived pretty close to us about 2 hours later that said he could deliver our new set AND pick up our old set the NEXT day (New Year's Eve) for $80.00 (the store charges $99.99 for delivery of the new furniture). SOLD!!
So, by 6:00PM the next night, we had our new living room - no fuss, no muss, with everyone being extremely pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be going back to Kane's when we need new furniture!!

The UGLY old set!!

The empty room, and Nano having NO idea what is going on and me trying to explain it! :-)

Nano, has chosen his new chair... I use the one to the right of the love seat with the ottoman for my computer work and reading!

Our new living room .... Isn't it pretty??? We are really happy with it, we love the color and it is so comfortable! Thank you Kane's Furniture, Richard, Hector, and Cesare!!
Until next time..... Lorie
