At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty...
The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines.
See the remarkable photograph below courtesy of Nature Magazine. Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.

Today we ripped this meme off blogger named Chibi Pon from the blog Please Don't Stop the Music. She states that she grabbed it from a friend on Nettby XD. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. It is a long meme, so we will do it in two parts. Today is part two. 36. If you suddenly became single or are single, do you think you could last in a relationship for 12 months or more? Don't even THINK it... but, no I don't think I could. I had the WORST relationship in my first marriage and then the best relationship with my second. I don't think I'd try for the third.
37. Do you forgive or forget? Depends on the person.
38. Do you trust people? Not usually. It takes a lot for me to trust a person.
39. What are you not looking forward to? Getting our house ready to sell, then packing up and moving. (UGH - the work!)
40. Do you get mad easily? Only at bad drivers. It's a good thing I don't drive much and that I am only the passenger, that way I can just close my eyes.
41. Tell us about the last time you were told you that you have pretty eyes. Today, my hubby tells me every day - and I usually have someone tell me almost every day. I don't like to brag, but they are my best feature.
42. Do you have strange dreams? No, I don't sleep really well, I don't dream much at all.
43. Ever licked someone's cheek or forehead? Yes.
44. Tell us about the last time you fell asleep in someones arms. Every night, hubby and I like to snuggle.
45. When did you last play a game? I play video games on my phone, my Nintendo and my computer every day.
46. What do you have on you at all times? My wedding ring... it has not come off my finger since the day I got married 3/15/97.
47. Do you go out in public without getting all dressed up? Yep! I don't care what people think of me.
48. Do you like fruity or minty gum? Minty - cinnamon or fresh mint are my favorites.
49. Favourite musician or group? Elvis forever!!
50. Do you like anyone? I like a lot of people... that's a dumb questions.
51. Favourite computer game? Bejeweled and Mahjong.
52. First album you ever went and bought with your own money? "Night at the Opera" by Queen - then my parents made me destroy it because it was "demonic." My darling husband bought me the CD for our first Christmas after I told him that story.

54. Do you believe in celebrating anniversaries? In a HUGE way!
55. Do you think someone is thinking about you right now? I hope so... I hope I have made someone happy and made them smile or cheered them up somehow.
56. Last thing you bought? Easter outfits for my puppies. Go ahead and laugh, they are my babies now that my boys are all grown up and they are the cutest little babies EVER!!
57. Are you a jealous person? No, people who work hard deserve their nice things! When it comes to my husband, I know he loves me because he shows me and tells me every single day in big and little ways, so there is no reason to be jealous... other women should be jealous of me! TeeHee
58. Does it take a lot to make you cry? Heck no! I cry at coffee commercials.... I'm menopausal!
59. Do you have a friend of the opposite sex you can talk to? Yes... he is also a friend of my husband, too.
60. Have you ever had your heart-broken? Of course... I think everyone has. (Did you get extra points for writing stupid questions this week???)
61. Have you ever done something while drunk that you still cannot believe you did? Oh, yes... and unfortunately it is on video - we were in New Orleans and I had already had 2 Hurricaines! (I have only been drunk a handful of times my entire life, too.)
62. Is there anyone you secretly wish you could be spending your time with right now? Nope... I'm with my hubby, snuggled in bed, with my two puppies at our feet. It's the best place to be.
63. Do you text? Um, yes! Another silly question!
64. Do you wish someone would call or text you right now? I'd love to hear from my son, Nikolaus, just to know he is safe.
65. Is your life anything like it was a year ago? No... it's better.
66. Go back one year on your blog. Leave us a link to your favorite post. I wasn't blogging a year ago in April. I didn't start regularly blogging until June 2009.
67. You can only drink ONE liquid for the rest of your life, what is it? Water, preferably Aquafina... I know, I am so totally boring, but I LOVE water!
68. Tell us about someone that you have lost contact with someone you wish you didn't. My friend Monika.. it has been 10 years since I have seen or talked to her, but it was her choice. I chose to leave a religion that was no longer right for me and I was then shunned. I keep telling myself it is their loss, but in my heart it still hurts.(Not enough to go back to the cult.)

1. Tell us about the last time you really got hurt. Eight years ago when I was assaulted. It has been the cause of all my spinal problems and some serious mental problems.
2. What's your oldest possession? I have a teddy bear that my grandmother gave me when I was born. It has had a "music box-ectomy" and has lost a lot of fuzz from all the love over the 44 years I have owned it.
3. Do you have any phobias? Oh, man yes!! Too many to list - I am medicated, see question #1.
4. What values did your parents instill in you? Not gonna go there... they had some serious religious issues and I also had problems with my dad (he was an abuser).
5. What are your plans for Easter? It's just me and Bill (and of course, the puppies), we are going to The Hyatt Regency at Grand Cypress for Champagne Brunch.
6. I like sun more than snow. Um, that's nice... is there a question there?????
7. Tell us about 3 fads from your teenage years. 1. Stone-washed skin-tight jeans; 2. High-heels with jeans; and 3. "Feathered" hair... and yes, I sported them ALL!! :-)
8. Tell us what is the most important attribute in a lover. Kindness! 9. What new piece of technology have you resisted buying and what would it take for you to change your mind? We are pretty up to date with technology (don't really want an iPad)... The newest thing out there that we would like to get is a 3-D HD LCD TV, but they are way too new and way too expensive. We will wait until there are more movies and shows available to watch on it and more sets available from different companies.
