This meme was started by Crazy Sam, in her words:
"Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do 'random questions,' so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!"
Saturday 9: Inside Job
1. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor
2. Did you ever pursue that career? No
3. If you are not in that field, what changed? No money for education, and no encouragement from family to pursue education
4. What is your current job? disabled
5. What's the best part of what you do? I have plenty of time to blog!! :-)
6. Do you have plans to do something else down the road? not in the foreseeable future
7. How did you get your present job? If you are a stay at home mom, how long did you need to plan that move? It took 8 months to get approved for Social Security disability
8. Did your parents influence your choices of jobs over the years? maybe until I was 20 years old, then not really... and absolutely not at all after I turned 25. Now my mom doesn't even speak to me (my dad has passed away).
9. What advice would you give your children on careers? To do something they are passionate about... they need to be happy at what they do, it is NOT about making money.
