Welcome to 2012's Monday's Music Moves Me!!! We are going to make this meme SPECTACULAR this year!! But of course, we cannot do that without all of you... so come on share your music with us and get your friends to share with us, too. Our fearless leader is none other that the sweetest and most wonderful Marie of XmasDolly. Helping her keep this train running are ME, my dear friend Stacy of Stacy Uncorked and the lovely Callie of Jamerican Spice. We will also have some helpers along the way when we need to because life is.... well, life!
Here is what you need to do to play along.....

First step: Head on over to You Tube, or anywhere you get your music videos and post them on your blog! Upcoming themes are to you LOWER RIGHT of XmasDolly's blog.

Second Step: Grab our "Monday's Music Moves Me" Button, mine is on my right sidebar, or off of any of the hosts' sites.

Third step: SIGN THE LINKY - Follow your hosts (we will all follow you and try to comment each week), grab their buttons too when you visit (mine is on my right sidebar above the 4M button) and show them some love by leaving a comment.

Final step: Go visit the other Rockers on our Linky and PLEASE show them some love by leaving them a comment, you know you like comments, they do too!

Today's theme is FREEBIE WEEK so pick whatever songs are on your mind, write up your post and share with us because we love music and we love you all. We are estatic here at the Shewbridge household because the NY Football Giants won the Super Bowl - YIPPEE!!!! - and Eli Manning their quarterback (and MVP of the game) is going to Disney World. That means the we are, too!! He is going to be in a parade on Monday and we are headed to the Magic Kingdom to see him and Mickey Mouse head down Main Street, USA to celebrate their win.

So today, I celebrate Eli Manning, the NY Giants, and Disney World.....

Here are some "happy" songs from Disney World that I believe Eli will be singing over the next several months.

Whistle While you Work ~ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Rainbow Connection ~ Muppet Movie featuring Kermit the Frog

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ~ Mary Poppins

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah ~ Song of the South

An finally something special for all those who dreamed and wished of the Giants winning the Super Bowl... just like me:

When You Wish Upon A Star ~ Pinocchio

I hope you enjoyed these songs, and once I get some photos of Eli at WDW, I'll post them here. But we are really busy on Monday and will be out all day. =) Once you write up your post, don't forget to sing the linky (on any of the host's blog - they are all connected) and you may be chosen as our SPOTLIGHT DANCERS like this week's lucky couple in our #1 and #2 linky spots.....

Katie of Katie Talks Carolina ~~ and ~~

Lori of Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Don't forget... if you are one of the lucky ones chosen for our spotlight dance, you get to grab the Spotlight Dancer Button from Dolly's right sidebar and proudly display it on your blog... WooHoo!

Now, don't forget to sign the linky, visit the participants, and leave a comment - you know you like them, so does everyone else. For more Monday music fun, visit my friend Denise at Run DMT.

ROCK ON MY FRIENDS

I'm very sorry to say there are some people not playing along just using our linky to get traffic for their blogs! Unfortunately, these bloggers will be marked and ignored, you will not get any benefit from our linky, so don't bother. All we ask is that you leave a comment, grab our button, ad/or follow us. If you don't want to post a video, you can post a link to a video, or post some lyrics, but please - at least attempt to make it music related.

*** Just one more thing...

PLEASE, we are family friendly blogs

and while we really don't want to censor anyone,

but we do ask that you keep your songs rated PG13 or less.

If you find that you need to post songs of an explicit sexual nature or language,

 please find a different venue.

If your song does contain a small amount of questionable Language,

please put disclaimer BEFORE the video.

Thank you very much!***

Football Funnies

.

{Image Credit}

In honor of the Super Bowl, I thought I'd share these silly little funnies with y'all... enjoy:

~ What did the football coach say to the broken vending machine?

    "Give me my quarterback!"

~ What do you call a lineman's kids?

    Chips off the old blocker.

~ Why did the poor quarterback have his receivers cross at midfield?

Because he was trying to make ends meet.

~ Where do hungry football players play?

    In the Supper Bowl.

Hope you have fun watching the Super Bowl whoever you are rooting for... my team isn't in it, so I'll just be watching it for the game, and of course the commercials.  We will probably be going to our local favorite Irish pub, Shannon's of Celebration to watch it with some friends - if I can shake this awful cold and feel better.  Tell me what you are going to do for the big game or are you just going to have a regular Sunday?

Self Portrait Super Sunday - Feb. 7, 2010

Welcome to Self Portrait Sunday, a meme started by my friend Maria over at Maria's Space. To see why she started this meme head on over here.

Today is a special edition of Self Portrait Sunday... because it is Super Bowl Sunday! Here we are with the TV all set ready to watch the big game {and of course the commercials} all cuddled up because it's cold here in Florida, at least we think it's cold - so nobody whine about how where you are is SO much colder than we are, I've heard it all before. :-)

Then I went over to my chair because I needed to do some blogging while watching the game - I have my priorities straight, it's not like the NY Giants were playing!!

I will NOT, however, be on the computer at halftime during The Who.

Don't forget to head on over to Maria's Space to see her beautiful face, link up your post and visit the other participants.

Until next time..... Lorie
