Celebration is in the running for the best little town in America!! We've been voting every day -- you all can cast a vote, too, if you'd like. Take it from us, it's a terrific town, as you can tell from all my posts. We are only about 5 miles from Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and may other wonderful places here in central Florida. Our town itself has such beautiful parks, fantastic restaurants, unique shops, and spectacular people. We have so many events coming up, anytime over the next couple of months would be a terrific time to plan a vacation. The hotel is right downtown on the lake within walking distance of everything. Let us know if you're planning a visit -- we'd love to get together with you all, we miss all of our friends and colleagues up there where it is cold, windy and rainy......................... Keep in touch, and remember to cast a vote for our town if you have a minute -- you can vote every day. Thanks!!

Don't forget to click on each picture to see the small details that people put into their decorations, some are really cute!

Here is the inside of our Halloween ready house during the day and at night. We have been told to expect about 200 children in our part of town. In the downtown area, they have been known to get over 500 kids!

The weather down here is still fantastic -- it's in the high 80s - low 90s, and is around 75 at night. This week there should be little or no rain. The town has begun decorating for Halloween. It really rivals Christmas decorating. I'm going to go around town and take daytime and nighttime pictures and post some soon. We had a lot of rain over the last couple of weeks and I've been somewhat stiff and sore, so I didn't get out much. Bill and I got out yesterday for breakfast and the farmer's market -- it was very nice. I'm so happy the farmer's market is back - I love those fresh veggies and fruit. It will be there through the end of May. Next weekend is our Fall Festival and our "Leaves are Falling" celebration, the kids really love that. Things start to really pick up now with the holidays coming -- I'll keep you up to date -- pictures to follow soon. Keep in touch!!

Fall Arts Festival
These are done by the students at Celebration High School. There were some other ones done by Celebration K-8 students also. The high school has a program for students who are interested in the fine arts they base the class schedule toward that area so they can have a foundation for college.
These vegetable, which were only about a 1/2 inch in size each, were all hand made in clay by the method described above. They were absolutely incredible. The talent and steady hand it took to create such beauty was amazing. There were also incredible flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors.
We has a gorgeous day for the festival, it rained in the morning (a downpour actually) but then the sun was beautiful and there was a terrific breeze. We had a really nice afternoon.
