Beth from Manic Mother and Lolli from Better in Bulk are hosting a series of tutorials to help us learn how to use our DSLRs... thank goodness!! I need all the help I can get. As with all lessons, there is homework... Our first assignment was to use any setting on our camera except for full auto to capture a winter themed photo. Well, I live in Florida, and even though we have been having really cold weather, and even freezing temperatures along with some snow, it was hard for me to find a photo to represent a wintery scene. {Plus I'm still not going out regularly since my surgery.}
So for me, something that Bill and I love to have in the winter and really represents winter to us is nice warm soup and bread and this is what we had for dinner tonight. I love the colors on the Progresso can, so I took this photo to represent my winter theme:
Shutter Speed: 1/125 seconds
Aperture: 15.60
Focal Length: 18.00mm
ISO speed: 200
If you want to join in the Bloggography tutorials, head on over to either Beth or Lolli's blogs by clicking on the banner on top. You can also check out other participants Winter photographs by checking out the linky.
Until next time..... Lorie

Love this soup! Love you're using your new camera :)
Yummy, my favorite flavor. This is an interesting meme but my SLR's are analog. Maybe next week I'll make sure my little digital is in manual mode and give it a shot.

I am going to check that out. Great photo, pretty hard to capture a winter scene here as well.
I love your creativity! And I love me a can of soup in the winter!! Thanks for playing along!
