Ruby Tuesday: Red Parrot

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday.....

This beautiful bird lives inside the Grand Hyatt Cypress Cove and is the sweetest thing. He was sitting on his perch eating and I started to talk to him. I asked him if I could take his picture and he just stood up straight and posed for me. I have no idea if it was just a coincidence or if it is something that he is trained for because he is used to having his photo taken, but he was so well behaved and just stood still until I finished taking his picture. When I was done, I said thank you very much and he turned his back to me and continued eating. It was a wonderful experience.

To get those of you who will be down here in Florida at Disney World for the Social Media Moms Conference excited for the event, I am posting some photos of Disney World containing lots of red.

The first is the big guitar outside the Rockin' Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios.....

Then there is some wonderful fireworks every night at EPCOT.....

And, last but of course NOT least, everyone's favorite, the big CHEESE (TeeHee) himself.....

Blue Monday, Mellow Yellow Monday and Ruby Tuesday All Rolled into One

I have this flag hanging in my front window (sorry for the glare, we actually had sunshine today), it is a symbol showing I am a Blue Star Mother. The Service flag is an official banner authorized by the Department of Defense for display by families who have members serving in the Armed Forces during any period of war or hostilities the United States may be engaged in for the duration of such hostilities.

I am so proud of my son Nikolaus and think of him daily. I pray that he returns home safely, as well as all the deployed men and women of all the armed forces. God bless them all and God bless America!!

Ruby Tuesday: A Sea of Florals

It's time for Ruby Tuesday, again...

These are so gorgeous flowers outside a palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The artifacts inside the palace were unbelievable... I wish I could have taken photos of those, but it was forbidden. There were huge gemstones and gold and silver encrusted crowns and weapons and every kind of household item you could imagine. My favorite was an 80 (YES eighty) carat emerald, that was to DIE FOR!!! But for now, these lovely natural creations will have to do. These actually smelled SO much better... :-)
