Happy Groundhog Day - Prediction from Puxatony Phil

.

Happy Groundhog Day, the day when Puxatony Phil in Pennsylvania comes out of his hatch to predict weather (pun intended) we will have a short winter or a L-O-N-G winter, depending on his ability to see his shadow or not.

Well here it is, folks.....

Isn't he a cutie pie? So it looks like winter will be six more weeks. I wouldn't mind having six more weeks of the wonderful weather we have been having here in Florida. We have been having temps in the mid 70's to 80's and sunny. It is beautiful..... come on down. =)

Happy 125th Groundhog Day

.

Happy 125th Groundhog Day everyone.... This is the day that, instead of being the sensible adults we normally are, we turn to Punxsutawney Phil, a rodent - as adorable as he may be, to get a prediction of how long winter is going to last.

So, what did Phil predict for this year???

I am delighted for my friends and family up north to say that Phil DID NOT see his shadow!!

This means that winter will SOON BE OVER!!! YAY!!!

I know that all of you in the northeast and Midwest who are buried under ice and snow are very happy to hear that - even though it may take you the next six weeks to shovel yourselves out! Be safe and stay warm... and know that according to Phil, it's almost over.

Happy Groundhog Day - Punxsutawney Phil's Prediction

I hate to be the bearer of bad news folks... but Punxsutawney Phil, the famous forecaster at Gobbler’s Knob, Pennsylvania, has fore casted six more weeks of winter! YUK!!

I was SO hoping for an early spring, I am so sick of the cold and I don't have it half as bad as a lot of you guys around the country.

Stay warm, my friends!!

Until next time..... Lorie
