Monday's Music Moves Me: Elvis is Still the King

Photobucket

Welcome back to our rockin' good meme Monday's Music Moves Me! The exciting music meme that XmasDolly and I are hosting, now along with Larry from Cakeblast and Callie from JamericanSpice. Won't you play along... here are the rules:

Daddy-oFirst step: You need to run on over to You Tube, (or wherever your find your songs/videos) and get your   pick for the day according to the theme. Upcoming themes are over on Dolly's blog on the right sidebar.

Second Step: Grab our "Monday's Music Moves Me" button above or on Dolly's right sidebar.

Famous 27Third step: Dance with (follow) your hostesses (that would be me and Dolly); grab our buttons; then sign the linky, either here or on Dolly's blog - they are linked.

Hi-ya!Final step: Start lookin' for a partner and boogie on down to her blog (or his), and say hello  by leaving a comment, and tag (follow) her/him. If you've been tagged (followed) be polite, and go on over there, leave a comment and tag (follow) her/him back.

This week being a freebie week, I decided to go with my favorite singer of all time... The King, and I picked my favorite song of his, it's not one of his more popular ones that most people think of when they think of him, but I give you.......... {just a side note - he's not dead, you know!}

In the Ghetto by Elvis Presley

Now, don't forget to sign the linky and visit the participants and leave a comment. For more Monday music fun, visit Amanda, Run DMT and Hairbows & Guitar Picks.

Even though my tastes in music have changed Elvis will always have a special place in my heart.

You and my cousin Kim. She is soooo a Elvis freak and so is her husband. They even hang out with this Elvis impersonator. I should show you their wedding video I took. You'd probably like it. Elvis was everywhere. I'm so happy for you, and your son. Hugs, me P.S. I like this song too.

You're right. This is great Elvis song that not many people know. I heard this song for the first time on American Idol this past season when Micheal Lynche sang it. He did Elvis proud.

Happy MM! :-)

Elvis was such an awesome talent! I'm with Run DMT - I didn't realize Elvis had done this song until Michael Lynche performed it on American Idol. He did do Elvis proud! :)

I don't think there's an Elvis song that I haven't heard...and this is one of my favorites. My mother was one of his biggest fans. My house is now adorned with numerous Elvis items...memorabilia from my mother's collection. Goes well with all my Mouse stuff! ;o)

Elvis will always be king!!

Elvis is definitely a classic xD

I remember my friend in elementary school was OBSESSED with him-We used to play his music ALL the time and go on and make these Elvis videos. Lol

Actually, she's the one who made me like him and his music :)

Have a musical week!
