Monday's Music Moves Me ~ Back to Broadway for Me

.

Photobucket

Welcome to a Monday's Music Moves Me, the fantabulistic music meme hosted by me, my dearest of friends Dolly from XmasDolly, Larry from Cakeblast and Callie from Jamerican Spice and the wonderful Stacy from Stacy Uncorked. This week's theme is another Freebie Week!

Since I had so many songs in my head last week for Broadway songs, I decided to post some more of my faves. Hope you like these as much as you seemed to like last week's.....

This Jesus Must Die ~ Jesus Christ Superstar (I adore Frederick B Owens as Caiaphas)

These next two are from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which is such a fun show. The first one you will all understand why I like it so much as soon as you see it... =)

Song of the King ~ Robert Torti as Pharaoh

Any Dream Will Do ~ Donny Osmond as Joseph (Isn't he adorable?)

Here are a couple from another musical that stars some of my favorite actors from the past, Shirley Jones and little Ronny Howard, The Music Man. First, let me share....

The Wells Fargo Wagon ~ Featuring Ronny Howard (LOVE the lisp!)

Seventy-Six Trombones ~ Robert Preston, Shirley Jones and Cast

This next song is from Showboat, but I couldn't find a good recording from the play on Youtube. What I did find is this amazing rendition that I hope you will like, I LOVE it.....

Can't Help Lovin Dat Man ~ Annie Lennox

So what's moving you today? Write up a post and let us know... Here is all you need to do to play along:

What a wonderful line up of Broadway hits! I loved them all and only Annie Lenox could've pulled off "Loving 'Dat Man of Mine". Perfect picks for Music Monday!

I love Broadway Musicals and even Movie Musicals! I saw Music Man on the stage and then a few nights ago Turner Classic Movies had the movie, I love the movie! Unfortunately, I have not seen the other ones you posted but I am familiar with much of the music but I still would love to see some of the shows. I remember Donny from "I'm a little bit Rock n- roll and she's a little bit Country!" With his sister, Marie!
