Halloween 2011

.

We've had a pretty busy Halloween around here... On Thursday evening, the local pet supply store, Woof Gang Bakery, that we totally adore because it is SO much more that just a pet store, (It is the place that held the adoption event where we were lucky enough to get Mandie.), held it's annual Howl-O-Ween party. We love going to this event as it is a chance to get together with friends and neighbors and their doggies for some treats for both the humans and the pets. Here are some photos of us getting our doggies ready for the party:

Nano as Jack Sparrow
Mumbo as Hotdog
Mia just wouldn't stand still for a photo... temperamental princess. =)

Cannot get ALL six???
Finally all six: Mandie, Mai-Li, Nano, Maila, Mumbo, Mia

So once we all got ready, we took all six to the party... it was the first time we have ever taken all six to an event.  I am happy to say they all behaved amazingly. They had a great time with all the other doggies and loved the attention they got from all the humans. Here are some photos from the party:

Nano makes a friend

Mumbo makes a friend

I think the boys are gonna fight over this beautiful girl. TeeHee!!

Owner dressed as Geisha

Mai-Li as Bumblebee - Isn't she adorable?

Don't they all look so adorable? I love that Woof Gang Bakery does this for the families in our community and for lots of abandoned animals in shelters. They raise money at these events for so many animal charities that it makes me proud to help them and share the information with you.

This is how MUCH fun my babies had at the party:

Mandie, losing the hat

Good night sleepy Mai-Li Bee

Maila - fallen angel

Hope you all had a happy Halloween... OH, and if you have any Mounds bars left over, send them my way. We ran out of candy around 7:40p.m. - I made 200 baggies to hand out and can't believe they went that fast. HUGGLES to y'all!

Shadow Photo ~ I Love This.....

.

On my walk with the dogs this morning, I saw this at my neighbor's house and I just had to take a photograph of it because I love the way it made a shadow on the sidewalk.....

How cool is that? I don't know if you can see the dragonfly on top of the house and in the shadow, but it just adds the perfect touch.

I LOVE Halloween and can't wait to add more photos from around my neighborhood, people go all out around here. We even have two houses that have synchronized lights and Halloween music. Halloween also puts me in the holiday spirit. Hope you are all having a great autumn so far.

HUGGLES!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ~~~ Booooo

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

May you all have a wonderful Halloween with the ones you love... with lots of laughter and friendship. Be safe and if you have any candy left over, please consider The Halloween Candy Buy Back Program.  This program has dentists all over the country collect extra Halloween candy and give it to Operation Gratitude (one of my favorite organizations), who then sends the candy to U.S. Military deployed in harm's way.  Doesn't get any better than that, in my book!

Thank you to my friend, Jen over at The Suburban Mom for letting me know about The Candy Buy Back Program... you rock!!

Happy Halloween, everybody!!

Lorie, Bill, Nano, Mia, Mandie, Mai-Li, Mumbo and Maila

Halloween Funny

 Flying Witch

An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his bodily systems extremely upset. Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put. He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational. In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets, and threw them out the hospital window.

A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him. He started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently trying to get the unknown things off and ended up with the soiled sheets in a tangled pile at his feet.

As the drunk stood there, unsteady on his feet, staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard, barely containing his laughter, and who had watched the whole incident, walked up and asked, "What the heck is going on here?"
ROTFL
The drunk, still staring down replied ........ "I think I just beat the shit out of a ghost."

Howl-o-Ween Party at Woof Gang Bakery

On Wednesday night, October 27th, Bill and I took three of the dogs to Woof Gang Bakery in downtown Celebration for their Howl-o-Ween Party.  They had fresh baked pumpkin treats for all the doggies that were there, delicious cheese, humus, pita bread and wines from a local eatery (one of our favorites), Imperium Food and Wine and all the pets who came in costume were entered into a drawing for a chance to win a gift basket of toys and goodies from the bakery.

Of course, you know me... my three puppies were dressed up in their Halloween costumes for the festivities:

Nano the HotDog; Lady Mia the Princess Witch; and Mandie the Angel

Here are some of the Halloween cookies that the Bakery made for the occasion. Aren't they just beautiful...

Here are all the adorable puppies that were there, some in costume - some not.  Plus my babies got to meet lots of other doggies, they just loved it!  I am so proud of them, they were SO good the whole night.

We had a great night and so did the puppies. Now we can't wait until Halloween to dress them up again and dress up the other three and meet all the kids that come to the house.  Wishing you all a wonderful, happy and safe Halloween!
