This week's theme is Freebie, but after last week's trip down memory lane, I've been really thinking about all the great music from my high school years, so I wanted to post a few more songs from that time period. Hope you don't mind... and if you do, too bad, I'm one of the hosts and this is freebie week, I get to post whatever I want AND SO DO YOU!! HaHa... so here goes.

The first two songs are from a band that I almost got to see back then, but my parents wouldn't let me go because they found out that the guy I liked at the time was going to be going to the concert, too. DAMN!! I finally did get to see them this past spring at EPCOT.

I'm All Out of Love by Air Supply

.... and  Two Less Lonely People in the World by Air Supply

The next song is by another group I loved but again didn't get to see until I became an adult. I also adore this video because it includes those adorable Winchester boys from Supernatural, one of my favorite TV shows.

Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore by REO Speedwagon

Hope you enjoyed my additional flashback to high school, music is the only thing I really liked about high school... HaHa! What kind of music have you been listening to this week, write a post and let us know, you may be chosen as our SPOTLIGHT DANCERS like this week's lucky couple..... Drum roll, please:

Kirsty of Gone Bananas ~~ and ~~ Stacy of Stacy Uncorked

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Thanks very much!***

Wow. Air Supply. Now there's something I haven't heard in ages! Did I age myself by admitting that? LOL Fun picks, mama!

Awww... Air Supply. I was crazy about them in highschool. Then in 2000 they performed in Bangkok. I made sure I had a front row ticket. Can't fight this feeling is my favorite song to sing on Karaoke, besides loving it a lot. Love your picks!

Air Supply! Wow, I haven't heard them in a long time. Talk about last set music on a night out on the town (1st song). You see when you're in a band the first set is listening music. Second set is a warm up to boogie. Third set is to shake your booty! Last set is definitely body contact time & Air Supply was good for that. ~hehe~ Great pics my friend. hugs & don't forget to vote! ~hehe~ HUGS & SMOOCHES!

I'll have to check out the themes. I came across an awesome song that really touched me but I don't know if it falls into any of the themes you have.

Thanks for the flashback - there are many bands I couldn't see in high school due to lack of funds and/or permission, that I had to wait and see as an adult. I still kick myself for not taking off to Chicago to see Nirvana in 94 (I had a friend who went). Anyway, I'm glad you got to see REO Speedwagon - was it when they toured with Styx? I didn't go, but they actually came to my town.
