Monday's Music Moves Me: 12/4/2011 ~ Christmas is Getting Closer!

.

Photobucket

Welcome to a Monday's Music Moves Me, the fantabulistic music meme hosted by me, my dearest of friends Dolly from XmasDolly, Callie from Jamerican Spice and the wonderful Stacy from Stacy Uncorked. We are entering into the holiday season, so from now until the end of December, we will be posting Christmas Songs!!  WooHoo, my favorite kind of music, I could listen to it all year long, so it's hard for me to pick which ones I want to post each week.... hmmmmm!

Well, I think I'll start this week with a soft and sweet song.....

Silent Night ~ Olivia Newton John

Now I have to feature one to make you smile (of course).....

Ode to Joy ~ Featuring Beeker of the Muppets

Here is another song from one of my favorite groups this time of year, they sound AWESOME and they are also going to make you smile... isn't that what Christmas is all about?

12 Days of Christmas ~ Straight No Chaser

Of course, you know I have to have a rocked out version of a Christmas song, so here is a really cool one that also fulfills my Disney fantasy......

Nightmare Before Christmas Carol of the Bells - Trans-Siberian Orchestra (I've actually seen them, too!)

And, last, but NEVER least, you know I have to leave you with my favorite.....

Santa Claus is Back in Town ~ Elvis Presley

So those are my songs for the week... there will be more next Monday, what songs have put you in the holiday mood??? Write up a post and let us know... Here is all you need to do to play along:

First step: Head on over to You Tube, or anywhere you get your music videos and post them on your blog! Upcoming themes are to you LOWER RIGHT of XmasDolly's blog.

Second Step: Grab our "Monday's Music Moves Me" Button, mine is on my right sidebar, or off of any of the hosts' sites.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Unfortunately, these bloggers will be marked and ignored, you will not get any benefit from our linky, so don't bother. All we ask is that you leave a comment, grab our button, ad/or follow us. If you don't want to post a video, you can post a link to a video, or post some lyrics, but please - at least attempt to make it music related.

*** Just one more thing...
PLEASE, we are family friendly blogs and while we really don't want to censor anyone,
but we do ask that you keep your songs rated PG13 or less.
If you find that you need to post songs of an explicit sexual nature or language,

Of course, you would include the King in your Christmas picks! ;-) Do you ever make it over to this area? The Shops of Wiregrass host The Symphony of Lights every Christmas which is a light show choreographed to Trans Siberian Orchestra. It's pretty cool.

I love Olivia Newton John. She is a class act and it just wouldn't be Christmas without a little Elvis, now would it?
