Monday's Music Moves Me: There's Monsters Afoot

Photobucket

Welcome back to our rockin' good meme Monday's Music Moves Me! The exciting music meme that XmasDolly and I are hosting, now along with Larry   from Cakeblast and Callie from JamericanSpice. Won't you play along... here are the rules:

MusicFirst step: You need to run on over to You Tube, (or wherever your find your songs/videos) and get your pick for the day according to the theme. Upcoming themes are over on Dolly's blog on the left sidebar.

Second Step: Grab our "Monday's Music Moves Me" button (over on XmasDolly's blog on the right sidebar)

BallerinaThird step: Dance with (follow) your hostesses (that would be me and Dolly); grab our buttons; then sign the linky, either here or on Dolly's blog - they are linked.

Hi-ya!Final step: Start lookin' for a partner and boogie on down to her blog (or his - Hi, Larry & Dave), and say hello by leaving a comment, and   tag (follow) her/him. If you've been tagged (followed) be polite, and go on over there, leave a comment and tag (follow) her/him back.

GhostThis week's theme is FREEBIE... so, pick a song that has a moves you today. Here is my choice for the week, since it is so close to Halloween and I really love this song, it is so fun and the video reminds me of my grandfather because when I was little, I used to spend two weeks in the summer with my grandparents each year and I would watch scary movies with my grandfather - much to the irritation of my grandmother. I would get scared and say I was going to bed, then I would creep back out because I said I wouldn't go to bed until I saw the WHOLE monster - and in those movies, they didn't show you the whole monster until the very end. Hope you enjoy my pick, Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers - Monster Mash:

Hope you had fun with my pick for this week.... Don't forget to play along, sign the linky and visit the other participants.
Keep on rockin', my friends..... Hi-fi

Cover UpUPDATE:  For those of you who checked my blog earlier, I made an oops which has now been corrected. I thought this weeks theme was Halloween, but it is a Freebie week. Sorry for the confusion. The Halloween theme isn't until 10/25/2010, so you have a couple more weeks to come up with your Halloween song, please forgive me and post whatever song you feel like this week. Forty lashes with a wet noodle for me.

I love it, that would have been my first choice for a Halloween song. This is a fun meme, I might join in at a later time.

Have a great week!

Hey Honey, you jumped the gun! Halloween Theme is October 25th. I put one up because it's the start of Halloween season, and I love Bette Midler. You silly girl, but I love the Monster Mash! I'm not going to be able to do much blog hopping today. Not feeling well. I hope you can do enough for both of us. Thanks honey I really appreciate it. HUGS!

I'm not sure why we all seemed to choose Halloween since it's really not that close yet and it was a freebie choice. Oh well, I think I'll blame it on XMas Dolly for getting the ball rolling on it.

I LOVE that song! And it's been a while since I heard it. Thanks for the nice blast from the past and I hope you have a rockin' good week!

Okay, now I want to see one of those old 1950 scifi movies. This was such fun to watch and listen to. The Monster Mash takes me back to grade school halloweens and simpler times. Great choice! Happy Monday!

Thanks for covering for me today at least I did visit everyone that signed our linky. Dang, one more and we could have beat last week. We've been going up every week, but it looks like we're only going to have the same as last week. Well, at least we didn't go backwards. I stopped by to thank you for your good wishes the other day when I went to the hospital. I visit the doctor on Wednesday so I'll let you know what she says then. HUGS. ME

That song always sticks in my head - it is the perfect Halloween song though. Kooky and a little creepy.
