Color Carnival ~ Doggie Dinnertime

.
***Voting is now open ~~ Please head on over to Maria's Space and vote for your favorite photo!***

Maria's Space

I am joining my friend Maria over at Maria's Space who hosts this fabulous photography meme called Color Carnival where you post a photo you have taken of something colorful and link up to her blog. Then return on Thursday to vote for your favorite photo.

Here is my submission for the week, my adorable Mandie in one of her Hawaiian shirts while she eats dinner off her colorful Mickey Mouse placemat. The other doggies also have Mickey Mouse placemats, but Mandie is the only one who faces that way while eating. HaHa

Now, let's see your best colorful photo, I know you all are wonderful photographers, and then link up to Maria's Space, then return on Thursday to vote for your favorite.

Have a terrific weekend and don't forget to keep your camera at the ready!

Mommy and Me Monday: Mandie Hate's the Cold

.

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

I haven't participated in this meme in quite some time and I have really missed it, so I a glad to be back. We go out to breakfast on Sunday mornings at our favorite Irish Pub, Shannon's of Celebration, and we bring Nano, Lady Mia, and Mandie with us. It got too cold for poor Mandie yesterday (as it does on several mornings) because she as less hair than the other doggies and she is kind-of skinny. So, I always bring her blankie with me to wrap her up and cuddle with her to keep her warm.

Isn't she just a cutie pie? Head on over to Krystyn's Blog to sign the linky and visit the other participants. Plus don't forget to leave a comment.

Wordless Wednesday (on Thursday, oops) and 365Project: January 5th & 6th

.

WORDLESS

I know I'm a day late for Wordless Wednesday and I missed my photo for my 365Project yesterday, but I never got on the computer yesterday.  Heck, I didn't even get out of bed until 4:30p.m. because of a horrendous migraine - those of you who suffer from them know exactly what I mean and those of you who don't, be VERY grateful.  So.... here is my photo for Wordless Wednesday and 365Project for January 5th and another photo for January 6th.  That should catch me all up.

The Shewbridges Christmas 2010

.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas... we sure did. We spent Christmas eve at our favorite Irish Pub, Shannon's of Celebration having a glass of wine with some friends and drank a toast to our friends Butch and Phyllis in Connecticut like we have done every year since we moved down here to Florida. We used to live next door to Butch and Phyllis when we lived in CT and we would spend Christmas eve with them every year, I miss them a lot. Then we went home and I finished putting together my cookie plates and delivered them to my neighbors, we ate dinner and finished wrapping gifts, then we watched Christmas movies, including "It's a Wonderful Life."

Of course I had to have some help from Mai-Li and Maila with the cookies, the had to taste test each kind before I added them to the plates to make sure they were good enough for the neighbors.

There sure were a lot of different kinds of cookies and Maila ate a LOT of them .....

On Christmas morning we got up early, well, early for us (HaHa) to take the doggies for their walk and then went home and turned on Christmas music and the Florida kind of fire.....

..... then we had our coffee, cookies and some delicious banana bread from our wonderful neighbor, Patty, and Bill, the doggies and I sat around the tree opening up our gifts.

The babies had such a good time being in the den, they are usually not allowed in that room and they were SO good.

Mumbo found a good spot to check out things in the neighborhood, Mia decided to sing along with the Christmas caroles, and Nano found the perfect place to sit so he wouldn't miss a thing!

Bill got a NY Giants watch, which after Sunday's game he's almost too embarrassed to wear. TeeHee! Plus all the doggies got him a Bissell SpotBot Pet carpet stain cleaner... wonder what THAT could be for???

Here are some wonderful things they all got for me. You may notice a theme:

I got some beautiful Disney ornaments and two Dept. 56 Snowbabies Disney Figurines that are absolutely beautiful. They look so perfect in my cabinet with my other collectibles.

We then had a wonderful day together, we took Nano, Mia and Mandie down to Shannon's for a small Christmas party with some friends.  Everyone LOVED their Christmas outfits and they had their photos taken several times by people we didn't even know.  I made one of  Bill's favorite meals: boneless ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, even the doggies got some of the ribeye.

Then we just relaxed for the rest of the night watching TV thankful for the wonderful things that we have and grateful for our family - who we had heard from throughout the day. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and got to be with the ones you love.... I know I was!

The Shewbridges Have Gotten So Silly this Christmas.....

Make sure you have some fun with your family this holiday!

Wordless Wednesday: The Puppies Christmas Photos

.
WORDLESS

It is absolutely impossible to get six dogs to all sit still and look in the same direction at once, the above is the best I could do... But aren't they just adorable??? (Sorry you can't see Maila, she is behind Lady Mia on the stand hiding behind a branch, HaHa)

Happy Christmas, everyone.....

Doggie Photo Shoot

The other day, with lots of help from my ever supportive and patient husband Bill, I did a photo shoot with all the doggies after they had all had a bath. {This time I did their baths in shifts, three at a time, TeeHee}.  Here are the best ones out of about 30 photos.....

These are the three Yorkies that we are dog-sitting: Maila, Mai-Li, and Mumbo

These are our three doggies: Lady Mia, Mandie, and Nano

The Boys: Mumbo and Nano

The Girls: Lady Mia, Mandie, Mai-Li, and Maila

The Yorkies: Nano, Lady Mia, Mai-Li, Maila, and Mumbo

Everybody: Nano, Lady Mia, Mandie, Mai-Li, Maila, and Mumbo

Do you KNOW how hard it is to get six dogs to all look one way at the same time????  If you look at the photos, you can see that it is darned impossible.  I still think they are all so adorable and I am going to miss Mai-Li, Maila and Mumbo when they go home.  Their mama, Tyna, is coming home tomorrow and will be picking them up.  I know she misses them terribly and they miss her.  We have been texting her photos almost every day of them and she is so grateful.

Hope you enjoyed the photos and have a wonderful week.
