I SWEAR I MUST BE JINXED!!!

After posting that Bill was feeling better, then reposting that, oh, well, he still has a kidney stone that has to be "blasted" again at the end of August, but that's o.k. because he's not having any symptoms..... BAM!!! A week and a half later, he has a HUGE gall bladder attack, and ends up in the emergency room...... for 5 hours! Then they sent him home in pain, nauseated, and miserable.

Now, I have to try and get the surgeon to put Bill on the schedule to get that nasty sucker out of my poor Hubs ASAP!! So on Friday, July 31st, I spent hours on the phone with the surgeons office, our PCP's office begging, crying, pleading to get the surgery done before the end of August!!! There was NO way The Hubs could wait until then.... Well, the PCP was off that day and the surgeon was in the operating room all day, so the only people I could talk to was the office staff and had to wait for a definitive answer until Monday..... URG!! It was going to be a lllooonnnnggggg weekend.

Well, Monday morning came and the surgeon's office called and said, Aug. 21st was the first opening on the surgeon's schedule..... Oh no, please, I cried to her... literally (I was so upset, Bill is SO sick), what else can I do??? This WONDERFUL woman named Brandy, put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back on the line and said, "I rearranged some things, and I was able to get your husband on for surgery for Wednesday." I was in SHOCK -- I had to ask her, because of my disbelief... THIS week, the 5th??? She said, yes, this week....

So, after, thanking her profusely, I am now totally grateful and a little nervous... So during your busy day today, if you can think about me and Bill, his surgery is at 3:00. I'd appreciate your good thoughts coming our way.....
