Blue Monday, Mellow Yellow Monday and Ruby Tuesday All Rolled into One

MellowYellowMondayBadge

I have this flag hanging in my front window (sorry for the glare, we actually had sunshine today), it is a symbol showing I am a Blue Star Mother. The Service flag is an official banner authorized by the Department of Defense for display by families who have members serving in the Armed Forces during any period of war or hostilities the United States may be engaged in for the duration of such hostilities.

I am so proud of my son Nikolaus and think of him daily. I pray that he returns home safely, as well as all the deployed men and women of all the armed forces. God bless them all and God bless America!!

Don't forget to link your post up to Smiling Sally's for Blue Monday; Drowsey Monkey's for Mellow Yellow Monday; and Work of the Poet for Ruby Tuesday. While you're on each of those sites, visit the other participants to see their wonderful photos. Have a great week.

Until next time..... Lorie

Oh Lorie, you must be so very proud. I remember that this used to be done during another time in our history; I'm glad to hear that the blue star is still on display. Happy Blue Monday!

Thanks for sharing that. Now if I see the flag I will know that there's a proud family behind it and the brave service man or woman that it represents.

Hello , thanks for showing a photo of this flag. I did not know of it either.

I'm sure your proud of your son serving his country.

I think often of our military serving overseas during the war. Sometimes I stop and think during an ordinary work day, or while looking at the blue sky that,.....we should all remember that our boys are fighting for us.
My father served in WW II and was the one of the first to join the V.F.W. in Hawaii where it was begun.

I think it's awesome you got one of those flags for your son's deployment. I had one as well while my husband was deployed. I hope he stays safe!
