Saturday 9: Call Me

This meme was begun by Crazy Sam, here are her words:

"Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!"

1. Who is someone that phones you routinely that you never seem to be up to talk to, but you are not ready to push them out of your life? Since we got rid of our home phone, there really isn't anybody because we just didn't give them our cell phone number.

2. What is something that effects you deeply, to your core, no matter your mood or what else is going on in your life? Yes! [You didn't expect me to tell you, did you?]

3. Tell us of something that relaxes you and always makes you happy. Now there you go again, expect me to tell you something really personal like that... let me just say that it involves Bill, and NO, I WILL NOT go any further!!

4. If you could take the train from anywhere to anywhere, where would 'anywhere' be? I've always wanted to take a train across the USA - in one of those sleeper cars like you see in the old movies, where there is a dining car and everyone is all dressed up. It looks like a really romantic way to see the country.

5. If you could look into the future, how far down the road would you like to see? 10 years? 100 years? A million? I really don't want to see down the future that far at all, my hubby is a bit older than I am, 24 years to be precise, so I want to live in the moment with him - right here, right now!

6. Did you do your shopping online for this Christmas, how did it go? Did things come in on time? Any significant failures? ...and if you didn't, will you consider trying online shopping sometime this year? Yes, I did almost ALL my Christmas shopping online this year. I got a late start because of my surgery, and I got one package in the mail today, and I am still waiting for two back ordered items that are due within the next week. But that is OK, Bill knows that one thing is a pair of shoes that he wanted and the other thing is a pair of jammies for my doggie.

7. What people or projects are worth your time, money or effort? My family are worth all of the above at anytime they need me! Other than them, I think children and animals are important as well as the military and veterans; cancer research is also important to me, and the police department and Special Olympics.

8. Think back when you were in high school. Are you proud of the way you dressed, or do you wish you could go back and change it all? I sure do wish I could change it... I went to high school in the 80's but really wasn't "cool". I had a Princess Diana haircut but with naturally curly hair, it just didn't work - it stuck out in all the wrong places and didn't look right. I wore tight acid wash jeans and heals (minus the tatts):

I also wore the high heels with them, but I didn't put them on until I got to school, because my parents would have killed me if they knew. So I left the house in socks and sneakers, and changed on the bus. Then when I got to school, I also put on lots of baby blue eye shadow (all the way up to the eyebrow) and black eyeliner and mascara (which of course had to be washed off before getting home). Boy, was I hot - NOT!!!

9. Do any of your friends, family or co-workers know about your blogs? For those that do, did you tell them or have they stumbled upon it by themselves? Sure my friends do, and my two sons, my step-son & DIL and my SIL - I told them about it, and they subscribe. I have no idea if my mom or sisters do, they don't speak to me and I have had no contact with them in over three years. It wouldn't bother me if they knew about it or read my blog. I am proud of my writing and my photography. I've come a long way, baby!!

That's it for this weeks
Saturday 9. Don't forget to link your post and visit the other participants. Have a wonderful week.

Until next time..... Lorie

I've been considering getting rid of our land line for some time now but can't make myself do it...

I saw something on the travel channel awhile ago about a train that takes you through several states w/nice rooms and fine dining, but it's big $$$$. Would love to do that one day!

Wow, what a neat idea. I love this. What was it called Saturday/Sunday nine? Whatever, it's cool. I'm going to join in the fun next time for sure. How can we comment on all nine? Maybe a comment after each question? No, that won't do. Hmmm, I know here's my comment to your questions, "You go girl". Don't tell anybody nuttin & stick to your beliefs. I likes ya. You're definitely my kind of people. I'll grab your button as soon as I get my new computer, but I'm following everything & signed up. Have a good one!

The idea of living in the moment is a good one. My husband is 18 years older than me and I think I'm going to keep that in mind from now on.

This is a terrific meme. I haven't seen it before.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, via Nanny Goats In Panties. It's nice to meet you. I'll be back again soon.

Cheers!

This is a cool meme, it is a great way to get to know folks. I enjoyed reading your nine answers.

I definitely agree with living in the moment but my hubby is ten years younger (no cougar jokes please, lol) than me so the reason is slightly different.

These were great. Who didn't wear these acid wash jeans? Oh to turn back time could be dangerous.

You've come a long way baby!
