As we all celebrate Memorial Day today with our families, having picnics, swimming, laughing, playing and whatever else you may be doing, please remember to take the time to think about what today is really about.

I don't know if they do it here, but in my last town, I went to the Memorial Day service in the local cemetery every year. It was so touching and well done.

To the very Proud Mother I thank you for having such a wonderful boy to stand up for what he believes in, and for protecting our country in which he lives in. For protecting all of us, and the Lady herself our Statute of Liberty. I served as well and I still feel the same way as I did then. Happy Memorial Day and from one fellow citizen to another PEACE!
