Change in Accepted Comments

As with several of my fellow bloggers, I have been receiving LOTS of anonymous comments lately that have absolutely NOTHING to do with my post. I really don't mind people who post anonymously on my blog if they are going to stay on topic, but I have been getting tons of comments that are for male enhancement drugs {you know which ones I mean}; all kinds of websites that are for get rich quick schemes; and now I've even been getting them for pornographic sites {enought already!}.

Because of all this, it has become necessary for me to stop allowing anonymous comments on my blog. I am very sorry if this causes any difficulty to my faithful followers, but I want to keep my blog clean and free from spam and garbage. It is really annoying to me and to all the other bloggers this has affected.

I really appreciate all the wonderful comments I do receive and hope that you will all continue to comment. This may also allow me to visit some of you who have come by and visited me without leaving your name but left me some beautiful comments. I would love to repay your generosity and visit your blog, or just send you a wonderful email.

Thank you for your understanding. Have a wonderful day.

Until next time..... Lorie

I agree, that's the reason why I don't allow anonymous comments anymore. It's hard for those people who want to comment but doesn't have a blog but what we can we do.

You can also moderate your comment so that before it get publish on your blog, you know that it is appropriate..

Totally understandable. I used to get so much spam (including links to adult sites!) that I had no choice but to not accept anonymous comments!

I had the exact same problem before but I switched to word verification and I haven't had a problem since.
Although, mine weren't anonymous, they all had names so I'd still be careful!

On a few of my blogs I allow anon comments but to stem the tide of spam I have word-veri on and I set it so that posts older than 7 or 14 days are moderated. I get email notification for all comments so can spot the odd roque comment and delete them quickly.
